Privacy Policy
Last updated · October 2026
This policy explains how matthewrupcic.com, the personal site of Matt Rupcic ("I", "me", "my"), handles information. The site is run by Klik d.o.o., the company I contract work through, which is responsible for the information described here. The site doesn't sell anything and has no user accounts.
Information I collect
- The booking form. If you fill in "Let's talk", you give me your name, email, brand website, the role you're interested in, your monthly ad spend and any notes you add. When you continue, I save those answers in a private database that only I can open, together with your country (worked out from your IP address, which isn't kept) and how you reached the site, such as the ad or link you came from. The same answers are passed to Calendly so your booking is filled in for you.
- Your booking. Scheduling is handled by Calendly. When you book, I receive your booking details and the answers above so I can prepare for the call.
- Email. If you email me, I receive your address and whatever you write. I use it only to reply and to discuss potential work.
- Meta Pixel. If you accept cookies, this site loads the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta Platforms. It records that you visited, which pages you viewed and actions you take here, such as sending the booking form or booking a call. It sends this to Meta together with technical data like your IP address, browser and device, and Meta's cookie identifiers. Meta may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account. I don't send Meta the details you type into the booking form.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, my hosting provider (Cloudflare) may log standard request data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
Why I use the Meta Pixel
I use it to measure how my own ads perform, to see which of them lead to booked calls, and to show my ads to people who have visited this site. I don't use it for anything else.
Cookies
When you first visit, you can accept or decline cookies. If you accept, the Meta Pixel sets cookies (such as _fbp) to measure ads; if you decline, the Pixel isn't loaded at all. You can change your choice any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the site. Separately, Calendly may set its own cookies once you open the booking calendar.
Who receives information
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, for the Meta Pixel, only if you accept cookies. Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy and may transfer it outside the EU under its own safeguards.
- Calendly, which runs the booking calendar and receives what you enter there.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores the booking-form answers in a database kept in the EU.
I don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone else for marketing.
How I use information
I use what you share to prepare for and hold our call, to reply to you, and to carry out any work we agree on, and the Pixel data to measure and run my own ads as described above.
Legal basis
The Meta Pixel and its cookies run only on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. I process the details you send through the booking form because you asked to talk about working together, which means taking steps at your request before any agreement. Technical logs are kept for the legitimate interest of keeping the site secure and running.
Data retention
Booking-form answers are deleted automatically 12 months after you send them. Booking details and emails are kept only as long as needed for our conversation and any work that follows, then deleted, unless the law requires me to keep something longer, for example for accounting. Data collected by the Meta Pixel is kept by Meta under its own retention rules.
Your rights
You can ask me to access, correct or delete any personal information you've shared, object to how it's used, or withdraw your consent to cookies through "Cookie settings". You can manage how Meta uses your data for ads in your Meta ad preferences. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Croatia, where Klik d.o.o. is based, that's AZOP.
